In 1973, County Road 13 that runs in front of Kossuth Hall was renamed Kossuth Road to honour the contribution of Hungarian Canadians to the community. A small village nearby was named Kossuth by Dutch settlers arriving from Pennsylvania before the first Hungarians arrived in the area.
